Gay fairy tales
For as long as there have been stories, storytellers have been reimagining and interpreting those same stories. YAY! As part of that talk, we put together a list of some of our favorite queer fairy tales and fairy-tale retellings, and we realized that somehow we’ve never done a list of them for Carterhaugh!?.
Human Rights Watch works for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender peoples' rights, and with activists representing a multiplicity of identities and issues. Girls falling for fae, queens falling for princesses, and boys waking the prince of their dreams with true love’s kiss — those are the kinds of stories you’ll find in the beautiful assortment of fairytale retellings below.
